Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 lbs chicken pieces drumsticks, thighs
  • 2 piece large onions finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons Hungarian sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until softened.
  • Add chicken pieces and brown on all sides.
  • Stir in minced garlic, Hungarian sweet paprika, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Remove chicken from the pot. Whisk sour cream into the sauce until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return chicken to the pot and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
