  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

  • In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and a pinch of sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the milk and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center.
  • Pour the activated yeast mixture into the well. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms.
